Taking our first aid training to Almaty, Kazakhstan
First aid principles are global and UK first aid qualifications are highly sought after overseas. It’s no surprise that this is the case as they last for three years and they are very well-regarded due to their Ofqual approval.
This is all great news for us, as it means we can happily take our training course to Almaty in Kazakhstan. Here we will be taking the teaching staff at an international school through six first aid courses – 2 x 2 day paediatric first aid and 4 x 1 day paediatric first aid.
The opportunity came through the school’s Head of Health and Safety who attended one of our UK-based training courses and asked if we could replicate the experience internationally. What is particularly good to see is that the school are opening up the first aid training to all levels of staff and even to those who don’t teach. The Head is leading by example and the Bursar will also be attending.
And when we’ve finished work, you will find us walking up something very high – preferably a peak that is over 4,000m and tops even the Lake District landscape, where we regularly run our outdoor first aid courses!
