Paediatric First Aid, Sefton March 2024

18 March

£80.00
Paediatric First Aid Baby CPR

This is a blended Paediatric First Aid learning course with a prior online learning programme. For more information please contact First Aid Academy Ltd on 08009992716

Paediatric first aid training is required by EYFS Statutory Framework and Ofsted for all primary schools, nurseries and early years providers (those dealing with the under 8’s)

This course meets Ofsted first aid requirements for registered child-minders and the requirements for first aid for nannies under the Department for Children, Schools and Families Approved Carers Scheme. The course also meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.

THE PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID COURSE FOCUSES HEAVILY ON DEALING WITH CHILD AND INFANT FIRST AID.

This children’s first aid training can be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education. This is a 12 hour course and is usually delivered as two 6 hour days, or 3 four hour twilight sessions.

Government guidelines for child carers state that first-aid training must cater for practitioners caring for children in the absence of their parents, be a minimum of 12 hours, cover what to include in a first-aid kit for babies and children, demonstrate resuscitation techniques using models of babies and children, and give practitioners a chance to practice on models of each age group. It must also include how to record accidents and incidents appropriately.

The Paediatric First Aid Course is useful to those who take children away from the school or the nursery setting, on walks to the park or to catch a bus to activities. The group leader would benefit greatly from taking part in one of our courses.

For a number of organisations (Forest Schools) we run the Outdoor First Aid course and can adapt it to bring in Paediatric issues.
