Working with Nature's Work

First Aid Academy is working with Nature's Work on developing their staff skills so they can deliver Outdoor First Aid training to their staff and associates.

Nature’s work is run by Jim Langley and provides educational training events and skills courses to individuals and groups.

Jim Langley holds the Mountain Leader Summer and John Muir Leader qualifications. He has been involved with the outdoors since a young age and in 2008 achieved a masters degree in conservation and land management.

Jim has developed a broad wealth of experience leading groups in the outdoors not only in environmental education but also as an expedition leader. He became a tutor with the Field Studies Council where he has taught groups in both ecology and geography across the UK since 1996. He has led expeditions to East Africa, Mongolia and Borneo he has also travelled with work to South America.

His main enjoyment comes from general mountaineering and connecting with nature. Jim is often seen on his bike on which he has journeyed through Patagonia, New Zealand and the UK. As a team member Jim plays an active role with the Ogwen valley Mountain Rescue Organisation which he joined in 2006.
